Nearly 400 tourism, arts, history and media partners attended the Connecticut Conference on Tourism this week held at the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford. Governor Malloy kicked off the day with special remarks supporting re-instatement of the $15 million Statewide Tourism Marketing Fund to the State’s FY’14 budget. Senate Pro Tempore Don Williams and Speaker of the House of Representatives Brendan Sharkey also acknowledged the success of the new still revolutionary brand and the important role tourism plays in the state’s economy.
