Linda Jo Stevens, a creative and resourceful woman, has brought her considerable energy and creativity to bear on numerous entrepreneurial enterprises.
An only child from Saratoga Springs New York, Linda laughs, remembering her mother telling her, “I don’t know where you came from. I think the gypsies must have dropped you off.” Gypsies or not, Linda’s craft is big and dramatic. Raw stones, pottery beads and yarn become bright rings, bracelets, and scarves.
A bit of a crow collecting shiny objects, Linda turned early to crafts. At a young age she began to explore her sense of design, teaching herself as she tried many techniques.
More than just an artisan, Linda is also a fun loving business person who is game to try new things. One of her early business ventures started when she gathered pinecones and horse chestnuts in the back yard. These became wreathes which she sold to national retailers. She opened and operated two Connecticut businesses, Romantic Reflections and Country Classics with great success.
