Jean Henderson uses photography to help maintain her stress levels that stem from her bipolar disorder. She believes that ART HEALS — for both the creator and the viewer. Her primary goal is to offer hope to other mental health clients and their families that healing is more than possible. Recently, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer so her people now also include other cancer patients as she moves through this additional journey.
Pat Miller is drawn to color, form, and character in an effort to capture moments that possess a particular beauty or humor. She especially likes to photograph reflections, abstracts, landscapes, seascapes, and creatures (birds, mammals, insects). Her photos embrace both beauty and silliness, ranging from abstraction to hyper-realism. She works to balance complexity and simplicity. Originally an academic trained in literature, Pat Miller became an artist in her middle years.
