P3300513 Our Mission:

The WindhamARTS Collaborative is comprised of member
arts organizations and individuals who came together in 2001 to foster and promote the arts and cultural life of the Windham region. Our goal is to maintain a multicultural, multidisciplinary, and multifaceted arts center where artists and artisans can interact with the public by sharing their creative endeavors.

Located in the heart of the Arts & Entertainment district on Main Street in downtown Willimantic, Windham Arts provides:

  • studio space for working artists;
  • gallery space for for visual artists to exhibit their work in galleries that are free and open to the public;
  • performance space for emerging and established poets, actors, or musicians;
  • information for residents and visitors about our member arts organizations;
  • networking, educational, and exhibit opportunities for artists and arts organizations;
  • cultural information about the Windham community, and others from across Connecticut.

As a Local Arts Agency appointed by the CT Commission on Culture & Tourism,  we promote and encourage the arts and culture of our region by serving artists and arts organizations through support services, networking opportunities, and by providing a centralized location for creative community activity.

We are a Regional Office for the Commission's Peer Advisory Network (PAN). The PAN program is a flexible, short-term consulting service that matches a non-profit arts or community cultural group with a designated Peer Advisor(s), who are seasoned Connecticut professionals trained to provide consultation (from one-on-one to group meetings) to address your organization's health and capacity issues. Peer support helps organizations & groups with planning, organizational structure, financial management, technology, programming, marketing , community participation, evaluation, and so much more.
