communityschool_1The Community School of the Arts is one of 14 organizations and 80 members which comprise the Windham Area Arts Collaborative (WAAC), a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster and promote the arts and cultural life of the Windham region. The exhibit showcased the artistic and performance resources of the school¹s professional faculty by featuring watercolor and oil paintings, prints, photography, textile and ceramics, sculpture, and photography by the professional staff, who reside locally in Bolton, Coventry, Mansfield, Storrs and Willington. Faculty members provided information about the school¹s educational offerings which reflects their mission to provide residents of all ages and ability levels with professional, affordable instruction in the performing and visual arts. CSA is interdisciplinary and education-based, linking individuals in the greater communities of Eastern Connecticut with the artistic, educational and performance resources of the University.
