Wednesday, July 2, 2008 Creativity Networking Workshop: Creativity of Molecular Gastronomy 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. @Main Street Cafe (Postmaster's Room) / 967 Main Street / Downtown Willimantic
This session will feature the creative integration of culinary art and molecular science -- exploring what happens when everyday foods are deconstructed to their basic elements and then re-created as something profoundly new and delicious, while still vaguely familiar. We'll be joined by the executive chef and the chef-intern from Hartford restaurant ON20 -- which was recently featured in the New York Times. They will lead us on this journey, which will include demonstrations and tastes!
MAIN STREET, WILLIMANTIC
Frog Leap 2009 Planning is underway.
Willimantic’s Multicultural Winter Carnival is holding its first official meeting on July 14th, 2008 at 7pm in the Whispering River Gallery, 956 Main Street, Willimantic, Connecticut.
Volunteers as well as Cultural and Community organizations interested in participating in this spectacular event should plan to have a representative attend this meeting.
In the winter of 2006, the guys on the 'Reality and Beyond Radio Show' (JD Duvall, Matt Mello and Clark Hinckley) decided that Willimantic needed a celebration at the beginning of the year.
This idea evolved into a 9 hour Multicultural Winter Carnival, held on January 5th 2008 which concluded with a 30 minute laser light show, the likes of which had never been seen in Northeastern Connecticut.
Your help is needed to make the Second Annual Frog Leap a success! Join us July 14th at 7pm in the Whispering River Gallery, 956 Main Street, Willimantic, Connecticut (snacks and beverages will be provided).
For more information about the Frog Leap, go to www.thefrogleap.com or call Jonathan “JD” DuVall at 860-315-3376.
