October 16, 2014, Pomfret, CT . . . Celebrations Gallery & Shoppes in Pomfret invites you to help keep the home fires burning for the many local families who will need heating assistance this winter. Celebrations is selling HomArt wooden matches in decorative boxes and Colonial Candles votives for $10 each now through January 11, 2015. Once again, Celebrations will donate 100% of the sales to the Access Agency’s LIHEAP (Low Income Heating Assistance Program).
With the support of generous customers, Celebrations has raised $7,500 in the past three years and anticipates tremendous community support for the 4th winter season of this community partnership. Shirley Riemann, Access Agency’s Director of Community Services, gratefully acknowledges the difference that Celebrations and their customers have made and hopes for another successful year of this fundraiser.
Each box of matches (in a variety of decorative styles) and each votive (in several fragrances) is festively gift wrapped and comes with a gift card to let recipients know that a donation has been made in their name. “Keep the Home Fires Burning” matches and candles make thoughtful holiday gifts and, more importantly, warm neighbors in need during the cold winter months. Celebrations will also accept cash or check donations for this fundraiser. To find out additional ways to assist Access Agency’s programs, contact Shirley Riemann at 860-412-1603 or shirley.riemann@accessagency.org.
Celebrations will expand their hours for the holiday season, opening every day 10AM – 5PM after Thanksgiving and until 7PM on Thursdays & Fridays. A diverse variety of original artwork and unique gift items are available in all price ranges as well as festive, complimentary gift wrapping. Multiple Tea Events occur weekly up to the holidays. The “Small Works: Artful Treasures” art exhibition will run from Nov. 1st through Jan. 4th. Small Business Saturday on Nov. 29 will feature Trunk Shows and Tea & Treats.
