Pomfret, Conn., — Years of hard work and dedication have paid off for 30 middle and
high school students from Connecticut. They’ve been selected to attend the 2nd annual
Summer Arts Academy, held July 27 – August 1 at Pomfret School. The students are
learning from renowned artists from across the U.S. After a rigorous audition process, all
students selected received full scholarships to the program, valued over $1,000 each. At
SAA, each student will have the opportunity to spend at least six hours studying one of
five artistic disciplines in the literary, visual, and performing arts. SAA culminates in
Academy On Stage with student performances and gallery exhibitions on Saturday,
August 1, at 10 AM in the Hard Auditorium of Pomfret School. All events are free and
