As you prepare for your end of summer and Labor Day celebrations, please take a moment to “Save the Date” of Saturday, October 3rd – to join us at the 5th Annual FACES at FAHS.
For those of you who are not familiar with FACES at FAHS or have not attended one of our previous four events, you’re in for a treat! Dismiss any preconceived ideas of a mundane art and craft affair and prepare to be dazzled! For those of you who have attended a FACES event, we have many new and exciting attractions that we know you’ll enjoy.
FACES at FAHS 2015 will include:
24 extremely gifted and accomplished artisans (Works in clay, fiber, fused glass, jewelry, mosaics, painting, photography, and wood turning)

8 craft demonstrations
(Including for the first time, cordwaining (shoemaking), a spinning demo by a Finnish woman in traditional Finnish garb on a Finnish wheel, and a potter on his wheel. Also including demos in birch bark crafts, lamp work bead making, angora goat hair spinning, weaving, and wood carving)
Tours of the historic 90 year old Finnish Hall (Including the Archives, Heritage Museum, Library, and Sauna guided by longtime FAHS members)
