More than 250 adventures, led by hundreds of volunteers and organizations, has made the 27th Annual Walktober a rousing success. Together we got thousands of people out exploring The Last Green Valley! We’re already looking forward to Spring Outdoors and Walktober 2018!

Meet William Jobbagy, chairman of The Last Green Valley Board of Directors. Bill joined the board in 2005 and became chairman of the board from 2011 to 2012 and 2014 to the present. Bill is a retired engineer with experience in business development. He lives in Coventry where he is Vice Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission and the Economic Development Commission. He is also a member of the Coventry Historical Society and the Coventry Village Improvement Society. Bill is an active volunteer with a passion for the outdoors and historical research. He became a member of TLGV to ensure “our children can enjoy the natural resources, heritage and opportunities in The Last Green Valley National Heritage Corridor.”
Acorn Adventure: Fly a Kite Under a Rising Full Moon!

Ranger Jean will be leading the TLGV Acorn Adventure at Lisbon Meadows Park and Trails. Fall breezes make for great kite flying in Lisbon’s amazing park. There are also trails and a stream to enjoy and maybe even help Ranger Jean find some water critters!

Sprague Land Trust, Holton Road, Franklin, CT. Drive almost to the end of Holton Road.Parking is on the left near a mowed field.
Join TLGV Rangers Kim and Geoff for a night observing distant objects, such as galaxies, clusters of stars, Red Giants and Nebulae. If you have a telescope bring it!
Marty’s of Dudley has offered to recycle cans and bottles and donate the proceeds to The Last Green Valley. Bring your sorted cans and bottles to Marty’s, located at 119 West Main St. Dudley, MA, between 9:30 am to 5:45 pm, Monday thru Saturday, and let the staff know you are returning them for The Last Green Valley. Marty’s will log them in and send us a check!
Office Cabinet Cleaning – Free Ink Cartridges
The Last Green Valley has numerous new, unused HP ink cartridges available to any nonprofit partner who can use them. If they fit your printer, call to reserve and come pick them up. They are: HP 02 Light Magenta, HP 02 Light Cyan, HP 15 Black, HP 23 Tri-color, HP 45 Black, HP 57 Tri-color, and HP 78 Tri-color.
