Connecticut artist Jane Collins paints in a fluid, painterly style. Collins’ bright paintings in oil and watercolor reflect her of all things rural: woodlands, gardens, farms, flowers and birds.
At the UCONN School of Fine Arts, Collins studied drawing, design, oil painting and watercolor. Subsequent oil painting workshops with working artists Foster Caddell, David Lussier and Shauna Shane have further refined her skills and influenced her style.
Collins’ work can be found in numerous private and corporate collections. ten of her barn paintings are in the permanent collection of Eastern Connecticut State University, in Willimantic, Connecticut.
Collins’ work is frequently available at the Lyme Art Association Gallery in Old Lyme, Connecticut.
