Willimantic Renaissance is pleased to announce that the Pageau Summer series will continue on Saturday, June 8th with a free screening of the movie Guardians of the Galaxy on Jillson Square.
A generous gift from the Leo J. and Rose Pageau Trust will support a series of free concerts and movies this summer on Willimantic’s new Shaboo Stage. Willimantic Renaissance, Inc. and the Windham Recreation Department will work in partnership to produce this series.
Guardians of the Galaxy, which came out in 2014, is a superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. This blockbuster movie appeals to all ages. The rest of the movie series will offer something for everyone: The Goonies, Grease and The Birds.
The Pageau Summer Movies Series will always start at sunset, so settle in early with a picnic dinner or grab take-out from one of downtown Willimantic’s restaurants. (WillimanticDowntown.org/eat). Be sure to bring cash to spend on snacks and a Cupcake for Later. Frisbees encouraged!
The Pageau Summer Concert Series will include performances by the Eastern Concert Band on June 28th (co-sponsored by Windham Regional Arts Council) and the Coast Guard Band on July 3rd.
Due to the generosity of the Pageau Trust, entry to each of these events will be free to the public
