Mark and Beverly Davis Duo
November 16 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm
This is our 10th year of hosting North Meadow House Concerts and Trivia Contest, and we would like to celebrate with you, as the success of this series is due in large part to our faithful audience. We are not charging an admission fee; however, if you would like to bring something to eat or drink or to make a donation to the series, it would be greatly appreciated. Expect to hear Elizabethan lute duets, Baroque works from Soler and Vivaldi, Mark’s transcription of “The Three Captive Princesses” by Carlos Pedrell, some Celtic pieces, and many of our beloved English folk-song compositions by Ed Flower. If you will be joining this event, please RSVP to email@example.com
*TRIVIA CONTEST: Let’s see who can first correctly answer the following two questions:
1. What was the make and color of Beverly’s first guitar (hint: it was NOT a classical)?
2. For what reason did Mark decide not to remain at the Shasta Zen Monastery in California?
The answers to these and many other interesting questions can be found within this October 1st podcast interview with Mark and Beverly: “More Art Than Science.”
The first person to email us with the correct answers will win a two-CD set of “Ayres and Dances for Two Guitars” PLUS “Contemporary Works for Plucked Strings; the New American Mandolin Ensemble”. Prizes to be presented at the Nov. 16th concert!
